This detector prop was a personal project I had been working on while completing “The Bazaar” 3D Environment to continue building on my 3D modelling and texturing skills. This prop is based on the detector concept from “OUTRIDERS trailer (Square Enix)” by Yannic Kawan.

I was aiming to keep as close to the concept art as possible with the modelling side and then creating wear and tear to the texturing stage to give it a used feel. While modelling and texturing I used real life reference of circuit boards, duct tape, LED’s and other components to help push the realism. It helped a lot being able to physically hold and study these objects when modelling and texturing, especially with the tape where I could sculpt in folds and creases where they would actually form.

I am responsible for everything in the scene.
